My name is Karen, and I started Frontlets in 2010.
Have you ever tried to find a Christian greeting card that shared the truth of Scripture without some cute and often not-quite- applicable rhyme verse, or a focus on a holiday or event? We wanted to create a card that was pure scripture and could be used for any occasion that it might fit. After all, telling a loved one about the risen Christ shouldn’t only happen at Easter!
Our mission is to give you quality, biblically based greeting cards using photographs from captivating locations around the world. Our focus is from a purely Judeo-Christian perspective, with the intention to share the word of God to provoke thoughts that ultimately glorify Him and reveal truth to the reader.
We use thousands of original photographic slides from captivating locations around the world, typically areas around Europe, Israel, and the United States. The U.S. photos have a particular emphasis on the southwestern region of the country.
These proprietary slides are the foundation of Frontlets Christian greeting cards. We refer to them as examples of the beauty of God’s creation. When artfully combined with the beauty of God’s Word as revealed through scripture, Frontlets cards inspire lasting, intense memories that the recipient will want to keep and cherish forever.
While most greeting cards are designed for a specific occasion, Frontlets provides card-givers the opportunity to allow God’s Word to be expressed for the occasion. We understand that finding the perfect card that conveys more than words demonstrates just how important a particular person is to you.

These photos were taken in the late 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s by my husband Jeff, his father John, and his mother Maytie Lou as they traveled and worked in Europe, the Middle East, and across the United States. Jeff’s father meticulously catalogued the photos during the long years of his stroke recovery, allowing specific identification of when and where and by whom each photo was taken. With the passing of John in 1993 and Maytie Lou in 2006,
Jeff became custodian of the massive collection of Kodachrome slides, none of which had ever been subjected to a slide projector. Jeff and I work together to select slides from the collection and scan them at extremely high resolution. I then crop them for impact and develop the card by matching the image with scripture verse. Every card has a story behind its creation, as they are each designed for a specific person or situation. I take great care to lay out each card, select the fonts most suited to the text, and select text color for maximum ease of reading against the photographic background (which can sometimes be quite a challenge!) Jeff has developed the printing, trimming, and assembly processes for the cards, and does the production work in the print shop.
We provide clear and concise passages of scripture, in easy to understand language, along with engaging images of God’s creation. We offer cards containing Scripture Only to allow the Way, the Truth, and the Life to shine through in a variety of occasions. Our hope is that by delivering the unfiltered word that its power is made manifest before friends and loved ones. One of the most common reactions we hear about our cards is, “I didn’t know the Bible said that!”
